Visser, Eva de
Eva de Visser (1971) studied at the Artacademie in Breda (South Netherlands).
Her choice to study art was a logical step from her childhood fascination with painting and drawing. De Visser’s work refers to art from the Renaissance era, as well as Baroque and Impressionism. However, she freely takes elements of these styles to create her own world. She uses elements and techniques to study these and put them to her hand.
A series where she used gold leaf points into the direction of renaissance. Her later work have a more impressionist touch. Eva generally works in oils.
In Eva’s paintings the human being often takes the centre stage. She is an excellent portrait painter and is able to (re)create an atmosphere in a manner that only can be done by someone who enjoys life and its everyday aspects.
